InnoBioMil is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic candidate for the position of:
Senior Bioprocess Engineer.
The ideal candidate will have solid experience in biotechnology.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead the development of
fed-batch cell culture processes
at the R&D scale, with effective transfer and optimization toward pilot scale. - Supervise, train, and support a team of engineers specialized in
cell-culture media formulation
, ensuring scientific rigor and experimental reproducibility. - Design, formulate, and optimize
chemically defined (CD), animal-component–free (ACF), or custom cell-culture media
, integrating metabolic modeling and multiparametric analysis approaches. - Identify, specify, and integrate
bioproduction equipment
, including media-preparation systems, bioreactors of various technologies, PAT sensors, and automation tools. - Develop, execute, and oversee experimental programs covering
intermediate cultures (shake flasks)
and
benchtop bioreactors
, with in-depth monitoring of critical process parameters (CPP) and critical quality attributes (CQA). - Implement and continuously improve
analytical methods and PAT tools
(online viability, Raman, metabolomics) to strengthen real-time monitoring and enhance advanced process control. - Implement and develop
analytical methods for assessing quality profiles
of biotherapeutic products (e.g., biosimilars, recombinant proteins).
Required Profile:
- PhD in biochemical engineering, bioprocess engineering, or bioproduction
, with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, ideally in an industrial environment (biotech, pharma, CDMO). - Experience in working with
CHO cells and on recombinant proteins is
mandatory
. - Proven experience in
bioreactor operation
and
process optimization
. - Strong knowledge of
cell metabolism
. - Experience in
downstream processing (DSP)
and quality-attribute profiling is desirable. - Ability to solve complex scientific challenges using
scientific literature, technology monitoring, and critical thinking
. - Team-oriented mindset, scientific curiosity, and enthusiasm for innovation and the growth of a developing company.
- Excellent
written and spoken communication skills in English
