AP FICO Consultant – Job DescriptionOverviewThe SAP FICO Consultant is responsible for the design, configuration, and support of financial and controlling processes within the SAP ecosystem. This role ensures alignment between business objectives and system capabilities, supporting both project implementations and ongoing operations.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage end‑to‑end SAP FICO implementations and enhancements.Analyze business requirements and translate them into SAP functional solutions in the Finance (FI) and Controlling (CO) modules.Configure core FI sub‑modules (GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, Bank Accounting, Taxation).Configure CO components (Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, Internal Orders, Product Costing, and COPA).Ensure proper integration with other SAP modules such as SD, MM, PP, and HR.Conduct system testing (unit, integration, UAT) and support issue resolution.Prepare and maintain documentation (functional specs, test scripts, process maps, training materials).Collaborate with technical teams to develop reports, interfaces, enhancements, and custom developments (ABAP).Support month‑end and year‑end closing activities and continuous process improvements.Provide user training and post go‑live support to business stakeholders.Act as a trusted advisor, guiding leadership on SAP FICO best practices and industry standards.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field.5+ years of hands‑on experience in SAP FICO configuration and support.Strong understanding of financial processes, accounting principles, and controlling practices.Experience with SAP ECC or S/4HANA (S/4HANA preferred).Good knowledge of integration with SD, MM, and other modules.Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively across teams.Nice to HaveSAP FICO Certification.Experience with S/4HANA Financials (Universal Journal, New Asset Accounting).Exposure to EDI, IDocs, and external financial interfaces.Basic knowledge of reporting tools (Fiori, CDS Views, BW/4HANA).
