Junior Python Developer – Cybersecurity Automation & XDR

Location: France / Europe (remote-friendly)

Akonis is a high-end cybersecurity integrator specializing in IAM, XDR, SASE and Zero Trust architectures for critical and regulated environments.

We work with leading technologies such as , CrowdStrike, Thales, Microsoft, and build automation-first security platforms combining Python, DevOps and AI-driven SOC capabilities.

We are looking for a junior Python developer eager to grow fast in cybersecurity engineering, automation and real-world security operations.

Your Mission

You will be part of a small, senior-driven technical team, working on concrete and impactful cybersecurity projects.

Core Responsibilities

Develop Python-based connectors, triggers and workflows for XDR platforms (e.g. , CrowdStrike)

Implement security automations following best-in-class engineering practices (clean code, typing, testing, CI/CD)

Leverage internal agentic & AI-assisted tools to accelerate development and SOC operations

Participate in cybersecurity product integrations, such as:

Thales SafeNet Trusted Access

Active Directory & Entra ID hardening

Identity, authentication and access control workflows

Contribute to Security-as-Code initiatives and AI-driven autonomous SOC actions

Occasionally support SOC investigations, understanding real attacks, alerts and response logic

What We're Looking For

Solid foundations in Python

First exposure to security products

OR

Strong DevOps experience on AWS, Azure or GCP

Curiosity for cybersecurity, automation and defensive strategies

Nice to Have

Experience with:

Docker, CI/CD pipelines

Terraform or infrastructure-as-code

Interest in IAM, Zero Trust, SOC automation

Security certifications or personal labs/projects
