Talent & People Development Manager

Design and manage innovative leadership learning solutions within ABB's Learn, Connect & Grow framework. This role translates business needs into scalable, future-ready learning experiences, with a primary focus on first-line and mid-level managers, while also supporting broader leadership development needs. The Leadership Learning Architect holds overall responsibility for solution design, quality, and impact, ensuring effective delivery through internal and external partners.

Location: Global. The work model for this role is hybrid, ideally based in a location where ABB has a strong presence. While we welcome candidates from all regions, Switzerland is not our preferred location for this position.

Main Accountabilities:

• Design, curate, and continuously evolve a portfolio of leadership learning solutions, focusing on first-line and mid-level managers while supporting broader leadership development.

• Leverage modern learning methodologies & technologies to create scalable, engaging, and impactful solutions.

• Lead end-to-end program and project management, including planning, budgeting, implementation, and evaluation.

• Ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions within defined budget and scope.

• Drive continuous improvement using analytics, participant feedback, and impact measurement.

• Drive operational excellence by managing vendors, optimizing systems with key stakeholders, and ensuring cost-efficient, high-quality learning delivery.

• Identify, evaluate, and oversee external partners in alignment with ABB's Procurement team, ensuring contracts, quality, and cost-effectiveness support the learning strategy

• Actively explore new leadership development trends, and technology innovations to bring cutting-edge solutions to ABB, including integrating AI and emerging technologies into leadership learning to enhance personalization, accessibility, and efficiency.

• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, SMEs, and business leaders to ensure solutions are relevant and future-focused.

• Define and monitor KPIs linked to program effectiveness, learner experience, and business impact using data and analytics to inform decisions, demonstrate value, and continuously improve design and delivery.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Experience:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Psychology, Education, Business Administration, or related field.

• 10+ years of experience in Learning & Development, with proven expertise in leadership development and programme design in a global organization.

• Experience with diverse learning methodologies, including blended, experiential, coaching, peer learning, and digital-first solutions.

• Operational excellence: demonstrated expertise in project management, budget management, and vendor negotiations.

• Strong change management expertise, excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.

• Solid knowledge of AI and emerging technologies in learning; ability to integrate digital innovation into design and delivery.

• Strong business acumen, ability to link leadership learning to organizational performance.

• Global mindset, DEI awareness, and ability to work across cultures and regions.

• Fluent in English.
