Mission

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Manager to join our Engineering Department. As the Engineering Manager you will be responsible for leading a squad of engineers, overseeing the development and delivery of software products, and driving technical excellence within the squad. You will work closely with other Engineering Managers and the Product Manager of your squad to ensure successful project delivery and foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. You will also work closely with the Director of Engineering / VP of Engineering to define and execute on the department's strategy and goals.

As Engineering Manager you are performing as expected if:

  • Your developers build software that fits business requirements set by the Product Manager in time and quality
  • Your developers are motivated, engaged and with a low rotation rate
  • Your technical analysis solves in an efficient and scalable way the user stories defined by the Product Manager

What you will do here?

  • Lead and mentor a squad of software engineers, providing guidance and support for their technical and career development
  • Defining goals, performance analysis and provide direct feedback to your software engineers
  • Analyze at technical level the user stories of each development sprint
  • Responsible of the development and delivery of the development sprints within your squad, ensuring that they are high-quality, scalable, and reliable
  • Work closely with the Product Manager to prioritize work and ensure alignment with business goals and objectives
  • Collaborate with other Engineering Managers to define and execute on the department's strategy and goals
  • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the squad, encouraging experimentation and learning
  • Identify and manage risks and dependencies, ensuring that they are effectively communicated and addressed
  • Deep knowledge of the company's Know How, to focus your squad in that vision and the development of the features

What we need?

Mandatory:

  • Fluency with SOLID principles
  • Mastering the latest CSS and HTML
  • Mastering Javascript/Typescript and main frameworks such as VueJS/Nuxt
  • Web performance and high traffic websites
  • Web security

Valuable:

  • Knowledge of DDD patterns, Hexagonal architecture and CQRS
  • Experience in event driven architectures
  • Experience in PHP 100% typed, we use PHP 8
  • TDD and Continuous Integration
  • SQL
  • NoSQL
  • Redis
  • RabbitMQ
  • ElasticSearch
  • Agile methodologies

We need you to be fluent in English and French because its an international product.
