Full Stack Software Developer Engineer

What's the role?

As a Full Stack Developer, you will be a team expert in both front-end and back-end implementation. You'll design, develop, and deploy scalable, high-quality solutions using modern frameworks and cloud technologies. You'll actively participate in product feature and design discussions, present solutions to technical leadership, and collaborate across teams to shape Hilti's digital platforms.

What You'll do

Technical Excellence

• Frontend: Develop user interfaces using Angular (8+), TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML/CSS. Apply clean code principles and foster a testing culture.
• Backend: Build robust backend systems with Java, Spring Boot, and API development (GraphQL). Integrate AWS services (Lambda, SQS, DynamoDB, Kinesis, Redis, OpenSearch, SQL).
• Optimize system performance, reliability, and scalability through testing, troubleshooting, and continuous improvements.
• Ensure adherence to security coding standards, web accessibility, and analytics integration.

Collaboration & Ownership

• Partner with technical leadership, product teams, and engineers to shape product design and ensure technical solutions align with organizational goals.
• Take ownership of end-to-end solutions, driving decisions to solve complex technical challenges with autonomy.

Lifecycle & Process Improvements

• Enhance the software development lifecycle by promoting efficiency, maintainability, and scalability.
• Develop innovative solutions to address system limitations and support high-traffic, dynamic environments.

Leadership & Mentorship

• Mentor developers, fostering professional growth and promoting collaboration and best practices within the team.
• Lead by example, contributing to technical strategy and helping define engineering standards.

What You'll Bring

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 5 years' relevant experience in frontend development (Angular, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML/CSS).
• Minimum 5 years' relevant experience in backend development (Java, Spring Boot, API development).
• Experience with service-oriented and event-driven architectures.
• Nice to have: AWS (Lambda, SQS, ECS, DynamoDB, Kinesis, Elasticsearch), Redis, SQL, API development, GraphQL.
• Strong communication skills in English.
• Interest and ability to learn other coding languages as needed.
