My Client in Paris is looking for a Validation Engineer.
As a Validation Engineer, your role will be to participate in the validation process for one of the company's software solutions.
- You will be responsible for defining comprehensive test plans to validate the software, implementing automated tests, and integrating them into the continuous validation process.
- You will also be required to manually test the software suite continuously, prior to official releases, in order to suggest improvements, report bugs, and supplement/strengthen automated tests.
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Proposing and writing, in collaboration with developers and other validation engineers, comprehensive test plans to cover all product functionalities
- Developing automated tests in Python
- Maintaining tests up-to-date as the product and its features evolve
- Manually validating the software before each official release
- Reporting bugs promptly to the development team
- Continuously proposing improvements to the user experience and other aspects of the product
Required Experience and Qualifications:
- Experience in QA (software quality assurance) or production software development
- Experience in Python development or another object-oriented programming language.
- Ability to write technical documentation (English required)
Advantages:
Proficiency in JIRA/X-Ray/Jenkins
Experience with Squish or similar testing platforms
Experience with the Qt framework or similar
Experience in the semiconductor industry
Experience using EDA (Electronic Design Automation) software
Required Education:
Engineering degree in Computer Science/Electronics or equivalent Master's degree.
