Exyte France is looking for an EHS manager M/F. With a strong background in the construction of industrial buildings, the EHS manager will be the entry point for any questions from the General Management, project management and construction management on EHS topics.   He will also implement the occupational health and saftery management systems and ensure its compliance. He will implement and control the compliance with the Environmental Regulations and Environmental protection management system.

Preferrably based in Lille to limit national travels, the job can also be based in Lyon or Aix-en-Provence.

Native or Fluent French speakers are needed for the role. The candidate must also have a full proficiency in English as the contacts with international teams will occur on a daily basis.

Explore Your Tasks And Responsibilities

• Organize additional health and safety and environmental programmes and activities to promote the safe behaviour of employees and contractors and protection of the environment as required and / or identified during inspections, safety meetings, adverse event investigations and similar.
• Ensuring that all employees of the customer and contractors are instructed in the specifics of the construction site
• Coordination of contractor safety managers and safety advisors.
• Organization of regular safety coordination meetings and recording and communication of the results and tracking of actions
• Assistance in the monitoring and implementation of (on-site) EHS regulations in force.
• Reporting of the updated adverse event statistics. Regular data maintenance and provision of careful and up-to-date documentation.
• If necessary, arrange for or carry out additional safety instructions/trainings in the project.
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of all applicable EHS standards and regulations.
• Participate in and facilitate EHS project evaluations, environmental audits and EHS management system audits.
• Participate in the emergency management team and identify and coordinate measures when necessary

Show Your Expertise

• 8 years of EHS experience in major industrial or construction industries
• Demonstrated ability to work in Teams of different cultural backgrounds, hierarchical levels and skill sets
• Formal EHS qualification (SiFa, Nebosh, Safety degree,…)
• Safety, Environmental Engineering skills a must
• Management Systems relevant education e.g. against ISO 9001, or 45001 standards
• Auditor certifications preferred
• Native or Fluent French Speaker
• Fluent English Speaker
• UE citizen or in allowed to travel freely within Europe (Blue Card).
