Join us and be part of those shaping the energy of tomorrowContext:Within S&EM, the Risk Expertise Center's (EC Risk) purpose is to, on one hand, advise and help the Business Platforms in optimizing their activities making sure it respects all the rules and limits, and on the other hand, to manage, monitor and control the risks that S&EM facing globally in its commercial and energy management activities.Operating within S&EM, the Engie Global Markets entity (EGM) plays a pivotal role delivering risk management services for Engie Business Units, developing its own commercial franchise and providing a centralized access to the Commodity Market for other S&EM entities. As such, it is operating under a regulated framework and is regularly audited by ACPR ( French prudential supervisory authority ).In the context of its re-organization and following the conclusion of the latest ACPR Audit, a new Market Risk team has been created within the EC Risk with the general objectives to strengthen governance and processes around EGM together with allocating the appropriate level of resources to comply with regulated standardsWithin the EC Risk, the EGM Market Risk Team is dedicated to the monitoring of EGM activities ensuring the compliance with regulated standards. The team is in charge of:Building risk frameworks aligned with EGM strategy.Providing comprehensive risk views and implement risk frameworks.Delivering regular risk analysis reports and suggest action plans.Reviewing and adjusting risk assessment frameworks.Ensuring adequacy with capital requirementsMaintaining efficient relationships with supervision bodies (ACPR, external and internal auditors).Providing risk support to other Global Business Units of EngieAs senior market risk analyst, you will be reporting to the head of Market Risk EGM within a team of 4 collaborators.Role:On a daily basis, you will:Produce, certify and analyze the different risk indicators of EGM while monitoring and reporting the breaches,Produce detailed analysis on exposures evolutions,Challenge Front Office strategiesAdress limits extensionAs a senior market risk, you will be expected to:Participate to new product validation,Elaborate and develop tactical tools allowing a relevant and continuous improvement of risk metricsInteract proactively with the different risk teams to ensure adequacy between risk models and risk metrics (Risk Methodology team, Risk Analytics, Capital performance, Group Risk Control…)Participate actively to EGM market risk mandate buildingYou will work in an international environment, within a an experts community which values excellence, impact and collective actionHard skills:Must have:Strong understanding of financial derivatives,Strong understanding of risk metrics (VaR , Stress Tests,…)Proficiency in risk assessment modellingAbility to code in PythonHands-on experience handling large datasetsNice to have:Knowledgeable in regulatory requirements and best practisesKnowledge of energy marketsSoft skills:Excellent communication skills, both written and verballyEffective problem solving abilitiesHigh integrity and ethical conductTeam playerEducation and professional background:Education level: Master degreeAbove 4 years of relevant experience in a market risk position, with strong track record on model user experience (ideally in a trading or banking environment)Languages: You are fluent in English; French is a plusTravels: The position is based either in Paris or BrusselsWhy join us?Diversity & InclusionIf you meet these requirements, then you are the talent we are looking for.
