Role Overview

The Business Analyst (Financial Sector) plays a crucial role in bridging business needs and technical solutions within financial operations. This role involves gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data, identifying trends, and providing actionable recommendations to improve processes, performance, and decision-making. Working closely with stakeholders across finance, operations, and IT, the Business Analyst ensures solutions align with strategic objectives, regulatory standards, and operational requirements. Key Responsibilities


• Gather and document business requirements from stakeholders in finance, operations, and management.


• Analyze financial data, operational processes, and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.


• Develop business cases, reports, and dashboards to support decision-making and strategic initiatives.


• Collaborate with IT and development teams to design and implement systems, tools, and process enhancements.


• Monitor project progress and ensure that delivered solutions meet defined requirements and business objectives.


• Evaluate existing processes and workflows to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements.


• Assist in regulatory compliance, risk assessments, and reporting requirements within financial operations.


• Conduct data validation, testing, and analysis to ensure accuracy and reliability of solutions.


• Provide training, guidance, and documentation to stakeholders on new systems and processes.


• Stay up-to-date with financial industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes.

Qualifications and Requirements


• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.


• 2–5 years of experience as a business analyst, financial analyst, or in a similar role within the financial sector.


• Strong understanding of financial operations, accounting principles, and regulatory frameworks.


• Proficiency in data analysis tools, Excel, SQL, and financial reporting software.


• Experience with business intelligence tools, dashboards, and data visualization platforms.


• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for working with stakeholders across technical and non-technical teams.


• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a dynamic environment.


• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to document complex processes clearly.


• Proactive mindset with the ability to identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency.
