About the team
At Equativ, we're on a mission to develop advertising technologies that empower our customers to reach their digital business goals. This means that we rely on massively scalable, widely distributed, highly available, and efficient software systems;
the platform deals with over 3 million requests per second (+250 billion/day) managed by 3,000 servers with less than 250ms response time
.

Our innovation team based in Paris, Nantes, Bordeaux, Limoges, Krakow and Berlin is composed of 150+ straightforward and energetic engineers working in an Agile environment and ready to tackle the most complex technical challenges.

Your mission
You will join our Paris-based Data Science team, where you'll be responsible for designing robust machine learning pipelines and supporting functions that make our products smarter. We leverage Google Dataflow, Vertex AI, and TensorFlow to power models that generate millions of predictions per seconds, each processed in under 2 milliseconds.

You will have the opportunity to tackle a wide range of machine learning challenges in a high QPS serving environment including classification, regression, time series, neural networks, NLP, and reinforcement learning. You'll work with massive datasets and see the real-world impact of your solutions every day.

What you'll do

• Build robust, scalable model-serving infrastructure for real-time decision making as well as research and A/B testing
• Proven experience with Vertex AI, including the design and implementation of ML pipelines on GCP
• Define ML best practices and lead technical discussions and influence roadmap priorities
• Partner with core engineering teams to translate business objectives into ML solutions
• Manage and prioritize tasks while ensuring timely delivery under high impact environment
• Proactively identify failure modes and implement automated testing and rollback strategies

About You

• 5+ years of experience in machine learning engineering, with at least 2+ years in senior/staff level role

Minimum Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Vertex AI, covering the end-to-end design and deployment of ML pipelines on GCP
• Proficiency in machine learning frameworks (like Tensorflow, Keras, or PyTorch) and scientific libraries (like scikit-learn)
• Strong proficiency in Docker, including containerizing ML applications and deploying them in production environments
• Great programmer with strong coding skills in Python
• Experience in an object oriented language like C#, Java or Scala
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (GCP/AWS) and distributed data system (BigQuery and Clickhouse)
• Experience troubleshooting and resolving incidents in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• Strong awareness in production and industrialisation

Nice To Have

• Experience in AdTech
• Experience in building GenAI prototypes and applications
• Good understanding of general data science algorithms and machine learning
• Good knowledge of math, probability and statistics
• Working proficiency and communication skills in verbal and written English
• Participation in data science competitions like Kaggle
• Passion for playing with large volume of data
• You like data visualization and frontend development
• Devops spirit
