We're looking for an exceptional
Robotics Software Engineer
with deep experience in
space systems
to help us build the intelligent control, autonomy, and simulation software that will power the future of off-world robotics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and optimize
    robotic control software
    for autonomous and semi-autonomous space systems.
  • Develop algorithms for
    motion planning, guidance, navigation, and control (GNC)
    in challenging space environments.
  • Integrate and test robotic systems through
    hardware-in-the-loop (HIL)
    and high-fidelity
    simulation environments
    .
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of
    aerospace, mechanical, and AI engineers
    to deliver mission-critical robotic capabilities.
  • Contribute to system architecture and onboard software for
    rovers, manipulators, or orbital servicing platforms
    .

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience developing
    robotics or autonomy software
    for
    space missions
    (orbital, lunar, or planetary).
  • Strong programming skills in
    C++ and Python
    , with experience in
    ROS/ROS2
    .
  • Expertise in
    robot kinematics, dynamics, and control algorithms
    .
  • Experience with
    real-time embedded systems
    and
    fault-tolerant architectures
    .
  • Familiarity with
    space-grade computing environments
    and
    communication constraints
    .
  • Background in
    aerospace, robotics, or computer engineering
    (MSc/PhD preferred).

Nice to Have

  • Experience with
    vision-based navigation
    ,
    AI for autonomy
    , or
    simulation frameworks
    such as Gazebo, Isaac Sim, or MATLAB/Simulink.
  • Contributions to
    ESA, NASA, or commercial space robotics programs
    .
  • Familiarity with
    software safety and reliability standards
    (ECSS, DO-178C, etc.).
