We have been mandated by a leading international insurance and risk advisory group to recruit a Senior Compliance Officer (M/F). The company operates across more than 100 countries, employing over 20,000 professionals. The group is known for its collaborative culture, strong governance framework, and long-term commitment to innovation and sustainability.

Position Summary:

This is a 6-month fixed-term position created to support the European Compliance function. The role can be based in Luxembourg or Paris and reports directly to the Senior Compliance Manager Europe. The mission is to ensure that the group's European offices maintain robust compliance frameworks aligned with applicable regulatory requirements and the group's governance standards.

Your missions:

  • Support the Senior Compliance Manager Europe in implementing and monitoring the European Compliance Plan.
  • Ensure compliance with EU insurance regulations (IDD and related frameworks) across European entities.
  • Develop, review, and maintain compliance policies, procedures, and training programs.
  • Monitor regulatory developments and coordinate timely reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Advise business teams on compliance risks and oversee second-line controls.
  • Manage interactions with regulators, audits, and the other teams.
  • Contribute to ad hoc compliance projects and policy harmonization initiatives.

Your profil:

  • University degree in Law, Finance, Risk Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in compliance, legal, or risk roles within insurance.
  • Strong knowledge of EU insurance directives (IDD and related frameworks).
  • Experience managing compliance activities across multiple EU jurisdictions.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluent English required; French or another European language is a strong advantage.
  • Self-starter mindset with capacity to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
