Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced
Senior Automation Engineer
to join a long-term mission in the Nice region. The role involves designing, developing, and commissioning advanced automation and SCADA systems, integrating industrial communication protocols, and working across IT/edge computing environments. You will represent the team with autonomy, professionalism, and technical leadership, supporting customer projects both in France and internationally.
Key Responsibilities & Skills
- Automation & SCADA:
7–10 years in industrial automation, strong SCADA expertise, commissioning experience, P&ID interpretation, IEC logic development. - Networks & Communication:
Mastery of Modbus, Ethernet/IP, Profinet, CAN. - IT / Edge Systems:
Linux administration, C++ comprehension, edge computing (e.g., Raspberry Pi), databases, servers, and automation/IT integration. - Engineering & Architecture:
Review complex automation architectures, propose technical choices, migrate/design under IEC 61499. - Development & Integration:
Validate automation logics, integrate into hybrid automation/IT environments, collaborate with C++/data/IT teams. - Commissioning:
Participate in commissioning abroad, perform adjustments, functional tests, and final validations across diverse industrial sites. - Customer Support:
Deliver demos, support solution architecture, and represent the team with credibility and autonomy.
