Data Science Project Manager

The ESC is currently looking for a
Data Science Project Manager
for a permanent contract, CDI, as soon as possible to work at its headquarters in Sophia Antipolis, France.

Major duties and responsibilities:
Ensures the management, monitoring, and smooth implementation of cross-functional projects under his/her responsibility at ESC, ie projects initiated or supported by the Data Science Division.

In details:

• Oversee and report on the monitoring and implementation of all cross-functional projects under their responsibility within the ESC, including Data Science projects and Data Science components of transversal initiatives.
• Coordinate the preparation and submission of grant and funding applications for cross-functional projects under their remit, ensuring alignment with ESC objectives and compliance requirements.
• Actively promote best practices in project management methodologies for scientific projects, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Profile :

Hard skills:

• A Master's degree (equivalent to Bac +4/5) in Project Management, Business Administration, or Scientific Project Management, together with a recognised Project Management certification (such as PRINCE or PMP).
• A minimum of seven years of experience in project management, including substantial experience in managing international and multi-stakeholder projects.
• Proven expertise in leading projects within the Medical Device and/or Pharmaceutical or Healthcare sectors, with sound knowledge of Good Clinical Practices and Medical Device Regulations.
• Strong command of project management methodologies and tools, with the ability to manage complex scientific and technical projects (including Medical Devices, Clinical environments, and Digital Health).
• Demonstrated experience in managing projects funded by European programmes or foundations, including budget preparation and monitoring.
• Excellent written communication skills in both English and French.
• Strong verbal communication skills in English and French.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

• Diplomatic and collaborative approach, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Highly organised, detail-oriented, and thorough in execution.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently.
• Capacity to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
