About the role

We are seeking a
Private Sector Partnerships Advisor
to join the ICC team of the Global Alliance for Trade Facilitation, a public-private partnership for trade-led growth, as part of a
six-month maternity cover
. Reporting to the Deputy Director of the Alliance, you will coordinate engagement with current and prospective business partners and lead on business engagement in Alliance projects, working with project teams to engage our network and identify synergies.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Coordinating the Alliance's network of global business partners, collaborating closely with their business representatives to actively involve them and their organisations in the work of the Alliance;
• Leading the research, identification and engagement of potential private sector partners for the Alliance to expand and deepen its network according to the Alliance's business partner strategy;
• Working with others on the Partnerships team as well as the Knowledge and Community Lead based at the World Economic Forum to coordinate and execute the Alliance's outreach strategy;
• Preparing and following up on meetings with the Private Sector Working Group (PSWG) as well as the Private Sector Task Force;
• Coordinating PSWG sub-groups with the support of group chairs, including the planning and organisation of meetings;
• Supporting Alliance project teams in-country during project scoping and implementation. Developing and monitoring private sector engagement plans and working to find synergies between projects and business partner interests;
• Overseeing engagement with ICC-led initiatives and the ICC network of businesses, national committees, and chambers of commerce in the context of Alliance projects and activities;
• Supporting and attending relevant internal and external events, and preparing necessary materials (e.g., agenda, presentation decks, etc.);
• Monitoring, analysing and reporting on private sector contributions to the Alliance on a quarterly basis, and using this information to report back to global business partners;
• Working with the Alliance communications team on a continuous basis to develop materials with and for the private sector, particularly the Alliance global business partners.

Ready to join us?

Your profile

We would love to hear from you if you:

• Have a university degree in political science, international relations, or a closely related field;
• Have at least three years' experience in stakeholder relations, in particular with the private sector;
• Have a demonstrated experience in communicating effectively with diverse audiences;
• Possess outstanding writing skills in English, with an ability to engage with a variety of audiences (governments, multinational companies, small businesses in developing countries, etc.);
• Possess excellent interpersonal and network-building skills, preferably in an international context;
• Possess outstanding organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities under pressure with a 'can-do' problem-solving attitude;
• Have excellent critical thinking skills and high attention to detail;
• Are able to understand complex stakeholder relationships both in developing and least developed countries and within the multilateral sphere;
• Have a good knowledge of trade, maritime, logistics, customs processes;
• Are fluent in English. Proficiency in other languages would be an asset (ideally French.
