About the Role

The IT Automation & AI Specialist ensures sunday's internal systems are seamlessly connected, secure, and efficient. You will build and maintain the automation backbone of the company — integrating tools, synchronizing data, and managing the infrastructure that enables teams to move faster.

This role sits at the intersection of IT operations, automation engineering, and applied AI. It combines hands-on implementation (scripting, workflow automation, system management) with forward-looking work around AI-enabled automation. The mission is to make sunday's internal systems reliable, maintainable, and intelligently connected.

Key Responsibilities
  • Automation & Integration: Design, implement, and maintain automations across internal systems (Google Workspace, Slack, Notion) using tools like n8n and Retool.
  • Scripting: Write and maintain scripts (Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Bash) to automate IT and operational tasks.
  • System Reliability: Ensure automation reliability through proper logging, alerting, and observability.
  • IT Operations & MDM: Administer and maintain our MDM platform (Jamf, Kandji, or equivalent), managing device enrollment, policies, and updates.
  • Identity & Access Management: Automate user provisioning, deprovisioning, and access control flows across core systems.
  • AI & Workflow Enablement: Collaborate with internal teams to identify manual processes that can be enhanced with AI; build and support internal automations leveraging LLMs and RAG pipelines.
  • System Maintenance: Implement preventive maintenance and monitoring for key IT systems to ensure stability and uptime.
  • Documentation & Governance: Maintain up-to-date documentation of all integrations, workflows, and IT procedures, and contribute to IT standards and playbooks.
About You
  • 5+ years in IT engineering, automation, or system integration roles.
  • Proficient in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Bash for scripting and automation.
  • Hands-on experience with automation platforms (n8n, Retool, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of SaaS collaboration tools (Google Workspace, Slack, Notion).
  • Experience with MDM platforms (Jamf, Kandji, or similar), including policy deployment and maintenance.
  • Familiarity with APIs, webhooks, and authentication standards (OAuth2, SAML, SCIM).
  • Knowledge of LLM architectures, RAG principles, and vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Weaviate, FAISS).
  • Systematic and reliable: you build things that stay up.
  • Autonomous and hands-on, yet collaborative with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong sense of ownership, documentation discipline, and operational rigor.
  • Fluent in English.
