Job Description
The Director Finance is a strategic leader responsible for overseeing all financial, administrative, and operational functions of Jungbunzlauer France. This role ensures the reliability of financial reporting, compliance with group and regulatory standards, and drives continuous improvement across finance, controlling, purchasing, logistics, and SAP support. The position manages several department heads and acts as a key business partner to the plant Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Financial Leadership:

  • Oversee financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis.

  • Ensure compliance with accounting, tax, and group policies.
  • Supervise treasury management, developing banking relationships including potentially new debt facilities
  • Forecast and optimize cash flow
  • Support decision-making for investments, cost control, and risk management.
  • Finance representative on ad-hoc projects : M&A and Antidumping

  • Controlling & Performance Management:

  • Lead controlling activities, including monthly closings, variance analysis, and KPI tracking.

  • Support department heads in budget preparation and operational analysis.
  • Drive process improvement and automation in financial operations.

  • Human Resources and Payroll (oversight of Senior Mgr):

  • Define and implement HR strategies, including workforce management, skills development, and resource planning.

  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and employee training, ensuring compliance with internal procedures and legal requirements.
  • Facilitate social dialogue, co-manage relationships with employee representative bodies, and maintain a positive work environment.

  • Purchasing & Supply Chain (oversight of Senior Mgr):

  • Define and implement purchasing strategies for raw materials, energy, packaging, and services.

  • Negotiate contracts, manage supplier relationships, and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Oversee inventory management and supply chain optimization.

  • Sales Administration & Logistics (oversight of Senior Mgr):

  • Supervise sales administration and logistics teams to ensure customer satisfaction and regulatory compliance.

  • Optimize processes from order to delivery, including customs and transport.

  • SAP & IT Support:

  • Ensure effective SAP support for users and act as a liaison with the group's Global Competence Center.

  • Oversee master data management and local SAP projects.

  • Team Leadership:

  • Manage, develop, and motivate department heads and their teams.

  • Foster a culture of collaboration, excellence, and continuos improvement.

  • Governance & Compliance:

  • Ensure adherence to quality, safety, environmental, GDPR, and energy policies.

  • Represent the company in audits, external relations, and crisis management.

Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Significant experience in a senior finance role in an industrial or manufacturing environment, ideally at plant level
  • Strong knowledge of French accounting, tax, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Proven leadership and people management skills.
  • Able to function efficiently with Excel, PowerPoint, ideally SAP and financial reporting and consolidation system.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Fluent in English is a must; German is a plus.
