Senior Aircraft Certification Engineer systems

Votre mission :

In the frame of our Design Organization Approval (SABENA TECHNICS BGC DOA Part 21J.039), the Aircraft Modification division is looking for a Senior Avionic Certification Engineer. SABENA TECHNICS BGC DOA is a leader on Aircraft Retrofit market, developing approximately 10 Supplemental Type Certificate & 100 Minor Modifications each year. We offer to air transport operators a wide range of aircraft & rotorcraft modification, in the Cabin/Avionics/Structure disciplines.

Holder of design and production approvals (DOA and POA), this division is responsible for engineering activities, the elaboration of certification dossiers, the monitoring and management of equipment / suppliers, but also the integration of modification and airworthiness monitoring.

As an Aircraft Modification Certification Avionics Engineer, you will be in charge of the elaboration of the certification package (Minor Modifications or Supplemental Type Certificates) related mostly to ATA 23, 31, 34, 44, 46. You will collect and review the justification documents issued by OEMs (stress analysis, qualification document) and perform the issuance of Means of Compliance (safety assessment, test procedures, electrical load analysis, weight & balance analysis...). You will be also involved in testing activities at aircraft level (ground or flight tests related to system functions and performance, EMI, A/C integration...)

In the frame of a modification certification process, the Senior Aircraft Modification avionics Certification Engineer will be the focal point of the Aviation Authorities (EASA, FAA and other NAA), and will present and defend the certification strategy agreed with DOA technical experts

1 - Technical Activities:

• Elaborate and justify the change classification in accordance with Part 21 criteria (Minor/ Major).
• Define certification basis and evaluate Airworthiness Directives applicability for each modification.
• Define Certification Plan including the design configuration to be approved

2- Reporting/Coordination with aviation authorities during the STC approval process

3- Sharing information and interfacing

Votre profil :

Bachelor or Master Degree in a technical discipline. First experience around 5 years in Design Office (in system integration / development) is required. An EASA Panel 5/6 experience (CVE, etc ...) in another organisation is a plus.

Technical and operational skills:

Good knowledge in:

• Overall aircraft systems and architecture
• Specification and integration of systems ATA 23, 31, 34, 44, 46
• A/C Operational & Maintenance documentation (AFM, WBM, MMEL, ICA, AMM, AWM...)
• Equipment qualification process ((E)TSO, DO160, QTP/QTR/DDP...)
• Safety assessment (ARP4754)
• DOA Process (Part 21J) and certification process
• EASA Regulation CS25 (CS25, CS27, CS29 is a plus)

Awareness in:

• Regulation & certification process with non-EASA authorities (FAR, AC...)
• POA Process (Part 21G), CAMO Process (Part M), MRO Process (Part 145)

Languages:

• English (professional level)
• French is a plus
