Welder - TIG

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Welding Fabricator. This role involves working in a dynamic construction and manufacturing environment where you will utilize your welding expertise and mechanical knowledge to fabricate and assemble metal components. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various welding techniques, blueprint reading, and hands-on experience with fabrication tools.

Duties

• Perform MIG and TIG welding on various materials, ensuring adherence to ASME codes and standards.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project specifications.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, and machinery such as press brake machines for metal fabrication.
• Conduct pipe threading, ductwork assembly, and rigging tasks as required for specific projects.
• Operate forklifts and cranes safely to move materials around the construction site.
• Measure components using calipers and micrometers to ensure precision in fabrication.
• Execute plasma cutting tasks for shaping metal parts according to project needs.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.

Requirements

• Proven experience in construction site environments with a strong focus on welding and fabrication.
• Proficiency in MIG welding, TIG welding, FCAW, and other relevant welding techniques.
• Familiarity with mechanical concepts and the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
• Experience with assembly processes, including soldering and machining tasks.
• Strong understanding of basic math principles necessary for accurate measurements and calculations.
• Ability to operate various hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment safely.
• Knowledge of ductwork installation procedures is preferred but not mandatory.
