About The Role
Data-driven engineering is experiencing rapid growth, impacting every facet of our business, and lies at the core of Amadeus strategy as we transition towards an open product-oriented approach.

This evolution is coming with a lot of challenges, such as Big Data Pipelines, Real Time Events Processing, advanced dashboarding and the use of machine learning models in real time applications.

In this environment, Amadeus intricate data becomes a valuable resource, your quest for knowledge will always find ample nourishment, and the groundwork for expense data platform is actively being established.

Within the RDE-LMD department, the team is responsible for developing the fundamental building blocks of the Cytric Data Platform. This platform encompasses the entire spectrum of big data, ranging from data processing using Spark and Scala, data visualization through tools like Qlik Sense, as well as Azure provisioning and orchestration with native Azure services.

Within the Data team, we are in need of a solution to efficiently store huge amount of data while ensuring robust security measures to prevent data leaks.

You will work closely with team members in an agile environment to develop components using the platform's tech stack, which may involve integrating or migrating new or existing components.

We are in search of a data Scientist to join our professional, invested and enthusiastic team.

Our mission revolves around pioneering research, developing innovative methodologies, and seamlessly integrating data science, machine learning, and AI practices throughout Amadeus organizational structure and technology ecosystem.

As a data scientist, you will have the opportunity to engage in a wide spectrum of projects, spanning machine learning, generative AI, algorithmic development, segmentation, recommendation systems, and data pipeline optimization.

Your Responsibilities

• Enhance our product offerings at Amadeus, driving business growth and elevating our analytical capabilities.
• Define and execute your own projects, actively participating in shaping the strategic direction oof our products
• Foster robust relationships with technology, product, and business teams across Amadeus.
• Provide mentorship team members.

Ideal Candidate

• Display a solid grasp of business principles,
• Possess strong proficiency in Python and/or Scala and SQL,
• Exhibit a profound passion for problem-solving, continually seeking patterns and insights within structured and unstructured data,
• Hold a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in an analytical or related field, such as statistics, computer science, or mathematics,
• Collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams, engaging with developers, statisticians, and fellow data scientists and machine learning engineers,
• Excel in articulating complex concepts in a clear and understandable manner, promoting constructive communication with a diverse array of business partners,
• Accumulate a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience working with real-world data, which includes data cleaning, modeling, and integration, preferably in a similar role,
• Demonstrate expertise in various machine learning techniques, encompassing Bayesian methods, clustering, decision trees, random forests, NLP, etc., with a proven record of feature selection, model development, optimization, and experience in both supervised and unsupervised learning paradigms.

Specific Competencies

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies,
• Exposure to generative AI techniques,
• Proficiency in cloud solutions, particularly MS Azure,
• Hands-on experience in deploying machine learning models in production,
• Practical experience with distributed computing frameworks, such as Spark.
• Experience with MLOps and / or Azure Machine Learning is a plus
