Compliance Advisory – Markets (Equities)

We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Compliance Advisory professional to join a leading Paris-based Investment Bank within its Markets Compliance team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the centre of the trading floor, providing regulatory and conduct support to the bank's Equities business across cash equities, derivatives, and structured products.

As part of the Markets Compliance function, you will act as a trusted adviser to front office teams, helping to ensure the firm's activities comply with French and EU regulatory requirements, including AMF, ESMA, and MAR obligations. You will play an integral part in advising on new products, transactions, and business initiatives, ensuring appropriate controls and governance are maintained throughout.

The position requires a strong understanding of equities markets, trading practices, and regulatory frameworks, along with the ability to apply this knowledge pragmatically in a fast-moving environment. You will collaborate with colleagues in Legal, Risk, and Operations, as well as Compliance teams in London and other global locations, to deliver consistent regulatory coverage across business lines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day advisory support to the Equities trading and sales desks.
  • Interpret and apply relevant regulatory rules, including AMF, MAR, MiFID II, and other applicable regimes.
  • Advise on new product approvals, marketing materials, and business initiatives.
  • Support monitoring, training, and internal policy development.
  • Engage with regulators and internal stakeholders on conduct and control matters.

Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in Markets Compliance, ideally with a focus on Equities.
  • Strong knowledge of European and French financial regulation.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and French.
  • Ability to influence and build relationships across front office and control functions.
