Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Staff Rails Engineer role based in Paris. You will design, develop, and maintain scalable and high-quality backend systems, with a focus on building and improving core features. Your responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams, identifying system improvements, building APIs, managing integrations, and troubleshooting issues to deliver a seamless user experience. You will also guide junior engineers and contribute to shaping the technical direction of the company.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Ruby on Rails and experience designing and building scalable backend systems
- Proficiency with databases, APIs, and system integrations
- Knowledge of software development best practices, testing, and debugging
- Ability to troubleshoot performance and scalability challenges effectively
- Experience with collaborative tools and contributing to a team with a strong focus on communication
- Leadership capabilities with the ability to mentor junior developers
- Familiarity with AI-driven or data-focused platforms is a plus
- University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent work experience is also considered
