Description
We are looking for a Senior Technical Writer - Cybersecurity, IT & GRC to join our consulting team based in the Montreal office.

This position is hybrid.

Tâches

Are you passionate about translating complex cybersecurity and IT procedures into clear, accessible documentation? We're seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Technical Writer to develop and maintain comprehensive, high-quality materials that support our cybersecurity and governance practices. This pivotal role offers the chance to influence our organization's security posture while working in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

In this role, you will partner with subject matter experts and stakeholders to craft precise process documentation, policies, workflows, and matrices, ensuring their clarity and usability across diverse audiences.

You'll analyze existing workflows for continuous improvements, leverage cutting-edge AI tools like Microsoft Copilot to boost productivity, and manage multiple projects from conception to completion-all while adhering to deadlines and maintaining a high standard of quality.

Your expertise will directly contribute to strengthening our security and compliance initiatives.

Exigences

  • 5+ years of technical writing or business analysis experience in cybersecurity or related fields
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, cybersecurity, technical writing, or equivalent professional experience
  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001)
  • Proficiency with process documentation tools and software
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a sharp eye for detail
  • Ability to quickly learn and understand complex technical concepts
  • Proven experience in defining processes for sensitive data and regulatory compliance (e.g., PIPEDA, GDPR)
  • Autonomy and strong collaboration skills in fast-paced environments

Nice To Have Skills

  • Experience with knowledge management practices
  • Familiarity with AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot for documentation enhancement
  • Knowledge of document standardization and central repository management

Preferred Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in relevant fields
  • Over 5 years of relevant experience in cybersecurity or technical writing

Other Requirements

  • Ability to work onsite at Montreal or Toronto offices, with a minimum of four days/week physical presence
  • Strong organizational skills and capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proactive attitude with a focus on results and continuous improvement
