Job Description

As a Financial Controller, your mission will be to supervise the accounting operations for two production plants together with another colleague. You will be responsible for managing various accounting tasks such as invoicing, accounts receivable and payable, cost accounting, inventory management, as well as product accounting. You will also be involved in more complex financial transactions such as payroll journals and taxes. Your main responsibilities will be:

• Supervise daily accounting operations for two production plants.
• Manage invoicing, customer and supplier accounts, analytical accounting, inventory management and product accounting.
• Assist with more complex financial transactions and support daily bookkeeping activities.
• Identify accounting and financial issues and propose solutions in a timely manner.
• Manage the month-end and year-end closing process.
• Ensure quality control of financial transactions and reporting.
• Assist in the budgeting and forecasting process.
• Produce financial statements upon request and coordinate the preparation of regulatory reports.
• Comply with government reporting and tax reporting requirements.
• Manage an insurance portfolio and develop operational processes and accounting methods.
• Understanding of US GAAP

Required profile

• At least 5 years of experience as a financial controller or in a similar position.
• At least 5 years of combined experience in accounting and finance.
• Advanced degree in accounting, preferably with a bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration.
• CPA or accounting training preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Fluency in French and English (financial), Dutch is a plus.
• Exceptional knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
• Experience creating financial statements and ledgers.
• Team spirit, sense of service, good time management skills and critical thinking.
