We are searching for an experienced Project Officer (Horizon Europe) CDD 12 mois at our Jouy-en-Josas facility. 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities: 

HEC Paris is
recruiting a Project Officer to support the implementation of Horizon Europe
projects hosted by the Sustainability
and Organizations Institute (S&O): Harnessing the
vast potential of RES for sustainable farming (HARVREST, Grant
Agreement , Stimulating and Connecting the FINEST
Experimentation Practices and Spaces (FINEX, Grant Agreement
, Pathways2Resilience: Co-developing pathways towards
Climate resilient regions in Europe (P2R, Grant Agreement

The candidate
will work under the supervision of the S&O
Climate and Earth Center executive director, Dr. Fernando
J. Díaz López – principal investigator of the Horizon Europe projects and lead
author to the IPCC AR7 report. The candidate will also work with the Centre's
project director and with the head of communications of S&O. Day to day
interactions with the different project partners will also be established to
ensure the successful completion of tasks and activities (Climate KIC,
Deltares, IIASA, CIRCE, Taltech, Cleantech Group, etc.).


Key responsibilities:

to support different research and dissemination activities in the different projects, including day-to-day monitoring of progress with tasks, deliverables, and milestones.
to support the organization of science-policy sessions and finance innovation labs, where multiple stakeholders develop visions and roadmaps about the impact of new policies, finance/business models and regulations on cleantech, circularity, new low carbon technologies and climate adaptation solutions.
to support different dissemination and matchmaking activities among project beneficiaries and diverse actors (e.g., with startups, technology developers or policy makers) interested in climate technologies, experimentation spaces in target innovation ecosystems or climate adaptation and resilience solutions.
to provide inputs to the elaboration of technical reports and if feasible, contribute to publications (peer-reviewed article or policy briefs) and/or teaching materials.
To contribute to project and external communication and outreach activities, including contributions to social media posts and the organization of project meetings (e.g., with advisory boards or project partners).
to provide day-to-day support in project administration tasks, including monitoring of deliverables, budgeting, and purchases.

Required Qualifications:

We are seeking candidates with a master's degree by the start date (required), strong management and inter-personal skills (required), previous experience with research projects, and strong affinity for the management of external partnerships. Applicants should have a genuine interest in supporting scientific projects and in developing skills and competences for a career around European research and innovation grants (strongly preferred). In addition to fluency in English (required at the C2 level), proficiency in other European languages would be a strong asset.

Required
Master's degree in sustainability, climate change,
green economy, innovation studies, or international economics.
2 years of past, work experience.
Competences in supporting mixed research methods:
literature reviews, surveys, interviews, focus groups and statistical
analyses.
Basic to intermediate competences in scientific projects
focusing on policy analysis and/or business case analysis.
Excellent communication skills in English at the
C2 level (writing, speaking, and reading). Additional European languages
are a plus.
Knowledge of cleantech innovation, business
models, circular economy, innovation ecosystems and/or climate
(adaptation) policy is a strong plus.

Preferred (strong asset) 
Experience in EU-funded research projects
(Horizon Europe / H2020). 
Certification and/or recent courses in project
management (IPMA, PRINCE2, etc.).
Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary
research teams.
Versatile in social media, graphic design (basic),
websites' CMS, and external communications.
Knowledge of FAIR data principles, GDPR, and data
ethics.
