It's how institutional clients access trading, settlement, and reporting with confidence. We're looking for a senior backend engineer who can own this platform end-to-end from the API layer to the workflows our clients depend on every day.This is a hands-on role. You'll design and build backend services in Rust, and you'll set the direction for a small team of backend and fullstack engineers. Together, you'll deliver a product that is fast, reliable, and safe for clients.  Security and correctness aren't add-ons here - they're the foundation of our business.What you'll doTake technical ownership of the client-facing platform - design, delivery, and continuous improvement.Lead and mentor a small team, keeping the bar high on code quality and secure engineering practices.Work directly with product managers and frontend engineers to turn client needs into seamless, end-to-end workflows.Build and evolve APIs in Rust, with security and clarity at their core.Ensure everything shipped follows best practices (OWASP Top 10, SQL safety, authentication/permissions).Keep close to the product - think about features not just as code, but as tools our clients use to trade with confidence.RequirementsWhat we're looking for5+ years of backend engineering, with significant time in crypto, fintech, or trading environments.Production experience in Rust is required.Proven track record building secure, client-facing APIs.Strong knowledge of SQL and event-driven systems.A product mindset - you care about the "why," not just the "how."Experience mentoring or leading engineers in small teams.A pragmatic commitment to shipping high quality systemsNice to haveFamiliarity with trading workflows (orders, balances, settlements).Contributions to Rust or security-related open source projects.Understanding of regulatory/compliance in financial platforms.Benefits> International environment (English is the main language)> 50% of transportation costs & a sustainable mobility agreement> Swile lunch voucher (€9.25 per day, 60% covered)> 100% Alan Blue covered for you and your children> Wellpass contribution to gym membership> Team events and offsitesHere's what you can expect if you apply HR call (30') Get to know Flowdesk and discuss your experience.
