Context

You will be part of the Risk Analytics team (8 people) responsible for Market & Counterparty Risk monitoring and advisory of the S&EM (International Supply and Energy Management) Global Business Unit of ENGIE and its regulated entity EGM (Engie Global Markets).

We work closely with stakeholders across trading, risk, and IT to ensure our systems are efficient, scalable, and aligned with business needs. Our expertise spans the development, enhancement, and validation of risk models, systems, and processes.

We foster a culture that values initiative, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement. You'll be supported by experienced colleagues and encouraged to bring fresh ideas that challenge the status quo.

Your Mission

We are looking for a motivated and technically skilled individual to join our Risk Analytics team. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who is passionate about Python, data, and building robust systems that make a real impact.

As part of our team, you will play a central role in improving and automating our risk analysis and control frameworks. You'll work closely with local risk teams across geographies, helping them streamline processes, enhance reliability, and gain deeper insights through better tooling and data flows.

  • Develop and maintain Python-based tools to automate risk controls and analytics.
  • Improve the robustness and scalability of our risk framework.
  • Collaborate with risk analysts and IT teams to identify pain points and deliver smart, efficient solutions.
  • Act as a key support and enabler for local risk teams, helping them become more data-driven and efficient.
  • Contribute to the evolution of our risk systems architecture with a focus on maintainability and performance.

What we are looking for

  • Strong proficiency in Python (experience with pandas, numpy, or similar libraries is a plus).
  • Solid understanding of data structures (AWS), automation, and system design.
  • Interest in commodity markets, risk management, or quantitative finance.
  • A collaborative mindset and willingness to support others.
  • Curiosity, initiative, and a drive to improve existing systems.
  • Fluent in English (French is a plus, but not required).

Why join us?
