Project-Based Contract Manager – Civil Engineering – Perm Contract F/M

The Infrastructure Division is present across France (roadworks, civil engineering, metal, rail) and internationally in Europe, Africa, Asia, North and South America.

The Marine & Overseas Division specialises in the design and execution of large-scale civil engineering infrastructure, including maritime and port facilities, water and waste treatment plants, and complex international projects.

As part of the development of our international activities, we are recruiting a
Project-Based Contract Manager (F/M)
to support our portfolio of overseas projects.

This is a permanent contract within the Marine & Overseas Division.

You will be administratively based in France, but
assigned to major international projects abroad
, depending on operational needs. Missions are carried out on-site, for medium or long-term deployments.

YOUR FUTURE ENVIRONMENT
You will work closely with Project Directors, Project Controls, Finance and Legal teams on high-impact international projects.

You will benefit from the support of Eiffage headquarters, while operating directly within multidisciplinary site teams across different regions of the world.

This position requires a strong capacity to adapt to different contractual environments, cultures and project setups, while maintaining rigorous contract management standards.

Your Main Responsibilities

• Administer and manage the main contract of the project you are assigned to, ensuring full compliance with obligations, timely notifications and protection of Eiffage's contractual rights.
• Manage consortium or joint-venture agreements, including interfaces, responsibilities, deliverables and governance processes.
• Supervise subcontract agreements: performance monitoring, amendments, claims, contractual compliance and administrative closure.

• Lead and coordinate claim processes, including:

• Claims against the client

• Claims within the consortium

• Claims raised by subcontractors

• Prepare contractual strategies and advise project leadership on risks, obligations and opportunities.

• Draft all contractual correspondence (letters, notifications, notes, reports) in both English and French.
• Support commissioning, handover and close-out phases, ensuring all contractual and documentary requirements are met.
• Ensure alignment between technical, financial and legal stakeholders, maintaining coherent project positions.

PROFILE WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• 7–8 years of experience in Contract Management on complex industrial, infrastructure, energy or civil engineering projects.
• Strong experience in contract administration and claim management.
• Excellent written and spoken command of English and French.
• Ideally, a background in law (Master's degree or equivalent), but technical profiles with strong contractual skills will also be considered.
• Experience working in international and multicultural environments.
• Strong autonomy, analytical skills, adaptability and communication abilities.
• Availability and willingness to travel internationally for extended missions.
