Information about the position

The Director of Transportation is accountable for the design, transformation, and performance of Vinted Go's European transportation network; spanning mid-mile and last-mile operations across France, the Netherlands, Belgium, Portugal, and Spain.This role drives end-to-end transportation strategy, financial and operational performance, and innovation at scale, ensuring that Vinted Go delivers industry-leading service, cost efficiency, and sustainability.

As a senior leader, the incumbent will influence the overall business direction, represent transportation within the Executive Leadership Team, and shape Vinted Go's long-term operational vision. They will build and lead a high-performing, multicultural organization, capable of scaling rapidly while maintaining operational excellence and resilience in a dynamic environment

In this position, you'll

Strategic Leadership

• Define and execute a pan-European transportation strategy, balancing cost, service quality, and sustainability targets.
• Anticipate market and regulatory evolutions to adjust our delivery solutions.
• Shape strategic partnerships with carriers, logistics providers, and technology vendors to expand capacity and innovation.
• Represent the Transportation function at Executive Committee and/or Board-level discussions.

Operational Excellence & Optimization

• Own the full P&L for mid-mile and last-mile operations.
• Develop and execute a multi-year transformation roadmap driving productivity, and service consistency.
• Implement advanced analytics, automation, and decision tools to optimize routing, capacity, and parcel-cost
• Build mechanisms for robust performance governance and risk management across multiple markets.

Innovation & Cross-Functional Influence

• Drive strong alignment with other teams to achieve business-wide KPIs.
• Drive innovation by collaborating with Product, Data, and Engineering teams to develop proprietary tech and operational capabilities.
• Foster a culture of experimentation and continuous improvement.

Leadership & Organizational Development

• Design a scalable organizational model for rapid growth across European markets.
• Build and mentor a high-performing team of transportation leaders, creating clear succession and talent pipelines.
• Embed Vinted Go's values into daily operations, championing inclusion, agility, and accountability.

About you

Experience

• 12+ years in transportation, logistics, or supply chain leadership, with at least 5 years at senior director or VP level.
• Proven record of scaling and transforming complex, multi-country transportation networks.
• Deep understanding of European logistics markets, sustainability regulations, and carrier ecosystems.
• Experience managing large P&L responsibility (hundreds of millions EUR) and large multicultural teams.

Technical & Strategic Skills

• Network design, organizational design, and digital transformation.
• Data-driven performance management and predictive analytics.
• Strategic sourcing, partner governance, and risk mitigation.
• Fluent in English; proficiency in French or another European language preferred.
