At the head of a team of five employees, your role will be to organize and manage the certification of SOCOMEC products by third-party organizations. You will ensure that the requirements of these organizations are taken into account during product development and renewal, monitor regulatory and standards developments, and manage relationships with internal and external partners. You will represent the laboratory and negotiate with certifiers. 

Tesla Lab is a COFRAC-accredited laboratory specializing in testing components, low-voltage equipment, and equipment assemblies. As an independent laboratory, we also offer our services to other market players. Tesla Lab's expertise and know-how are recognized by European and North American organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and organize product certification projects, ensuring that third-party brands and certificates are maintained in accordance with international standards and the requirements of certification bodies
  • Lead, develop, and supervise the team, ensuring skills development and cohesion in line with the group's values.
  • Monitor regulatory developments and represent the company before certification bodies and professional organizations.
  • Manage technical and documentary information to prove product compliance and performance. Develop their digitization to facilitate access for customers.
  • Implement the necessary actions to guarantee safety, quality, and continuous improvement within the laboratory.
  • Negotiate with certification bodies and coordinate technical testing, in France and internationally, to guarantee access to the international market for products.
  • Provide support to production sites in the context of certification audits.

Qualifications

  • General engineering degree or degree in electrical, electrotechnical, mechanical, or electromechanical engineering.
  • Professional English language skills (B2/C1) given the international nature of the position
  • At least 10 years of professional experience, including at least 5 years in managing a small team
  • Proficiency in documentation, writing, and administrative management in a project context

Additional skills that could make you even more unique:

  • Understanding of electrical environments and technical standards
  • Experience working with certification bodies (UL, CSA, CCC, Marine, ATEX, etc.)
