A new enablement function is being established to support and accelerate delivery across multiple innovation streams. This new function, the Innovation Factory Team, operates three core value streams designed to drive secure, scalable, AI‑powered innovation across the organisation.
Value Streams
Value Stream A: AI Products Delivery
Deliver secure, measurable AI products (AI agents, chatbots, AI-enabled workflows) using platforms such as Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry, and structured documentation approaches (e.g., BMAD).
Value Stream B: Innovative Software Engineering (Vibe‑C)
Deliver enterprise-grade solutions using AI‑assisted, governed engineering under strong architecture, quality, and security guardrails.
Value Stream C: Citizen Development Enablement
Scale safe, high‑impact citizen development through a Center of Expertise (CoE) enablement model focused on Microsoft ecosystem maker tools and platform governance.
Role Overview: Product Owner - Innovation Factory Team
We are seeking an experienced Product Owner to translate business demand into actionable, structured requirements across all three Innovation Factory value streams.
This role ensures delivery remains value‑driven, secure‑by‑design, repeatable, and operationally scalable across AI, Vibe‑C engineering, and citizen development.
Key Responsibilities
Demand Refinement
- Collaborate with Business Partners to clarify objectives and intended outcomes.
- Validate scope, identify assumptions and constraints, and ensure alignment on the problem definition.
Requirements to Backlog
- Translate qualified demand into epics, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Facilitate refinement sessions to clarify user journeys, break down scope, and prepare items for implementation.
Backlog Ownership and Prioritisation
- Maintain prioritised backlogs across AI Products, Vibe‑C, and Citizen Development streams.
- Align backlog sequencing with delivery leads and strategic priorities.
Documentation and Traceability
- Ensure structured, repeatable documentation practices aligned to approaches such as BMAD.
- Maintain traceability from demand to story to release.
Delivery Enablement
- Work with engineers and innovation leads to clarify requirements and remove delivery blockers.
- Coordinate cross‑team dependencies to support smooth execution.
Roadmaps and Delivery Plans
- Create and maintain delivery plans, sprint overviews, dependencies, and release milestones.
Outcome Tracking
- Define and monitor lightweight KPIs (usage, adoption, cycle time, quality indicators).
- Report measurable value and progress to Innovation Factory leadership.
Profile and Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or Senior Business Analyst.
- Strong Agile/Scrum expertise in story writing, backlog management, and stakeholder alignment.
- Proven ability to convert ambiguous requirements into actionable stories with acceptance criteria.
- Experience working in fast‑moving, innovation-driven environments.
- Technical fluency in APIs, cloud concepts, identity/access, and basic DevOps.
- Strong awareness of security‑by‑design and embedding non‑functional requirements into backlogs.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills across technical and business teams.
Preferred / Bonus
- Experience with Copilot Studio and/or Azure AI Foundry.
- Familiarity with agentic delivery methods and structured documentation frameworks (e.g., BMAD).
- Experience working within CoE models, governance, and citizen development enablement.
- Ability to define and track product KPIs (adoption, usage, cycle time, quality).
