Description
Nexedi, through its joint subsidiary Rapid.Space with Amarisoft, produces end-to-end 4G/5G telecom equipment in France: radio heads, base stations (BBUs), backhaul, network management system (OSS/BSS), etc. We are already working with two Tier 1 operators for commercial deployment. We are also producing a base station (Open Radio System) that enables the deployment of a private 4G/5G "plug-and-play" network in factories, hospitals, ships, etc. Our long-term goal is to liberate the telecom equipment industry, like what already exists in the cloud (open compute project, ONIE, SlapOS, etc.).

We are looking for developers interested in any of the following topics:

  • AI-based radio planning to optimize radio head power, limit interference and optimize traffic between multiple sites
  • extension of the babel routing protocol to implement mobility, also called handover, without a centralized network core and without a central point of failure
  • extension of the babel routing protocol used by the backhaul network to take into account nodes and links that do not transmit or transmit packets poorly
  • automation of service deployment on each station and preventive maintenance of deployed services to optimize service continuity

Responsibilities

  • contribute to the constitution of an integrated offer of telecom infrastructure based exclusively on free hardware and free software (except the Amarisoft stack)
  • improve our open source software stack )
  • automate all aspects of network deployment, configuration and management

Opportunities
