You will work on a wide range of financial-markets projects, from client-facing GUIs to high-performance server-side systems and large-scale reporting tools. Our platforms handle millions of trades and rely heavily on Haskell and our in-house variant, Mu. In this role, you'll contribute to software architecture, collaborate with front-office stakeholders, and deliver robust, scalable solutions that support trading and risk functions. After a three-month in-office period, the position offers flexible working arrangements within the country of payroll.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop innovative, high-performance software solutions that support front-office modelling, analytics and trading activities.
  • Collaborate closely with traders, structuring teams and market specialists to translate business needs into robust technical solutions.
  • Build and enhance multi-asset trading and risk-management platforms used across global financial markets.
  • Deliver reliable, scalable systems across a wide range of projects, from client-facing GUIs to server-side engines and large-scale reporting tools.
  • Apply Haskell and our in-house variant Mu to design clean, maintainable and efficient code for mission-critical applications.
  • Contribute to quantitative modelling by implementing tools that help the bank understand and manage risk exposure.
  • Ensure all development adheres to regulatory, compliance and operational-risk requirements, maintaining high standards of integrity and conduct.
  • Support continuous improvement by strengthening internal processes, documentation and engineering best practices.
  • Work collaboratively with global teams, sharing knowledge and contributing to a positive, inclusive and high-performance culture.

Skills And Qualifications

  • Strong Haskell programming skills (or typed functional programming experience).
  • Solid computer-science knowledge: algorithms, data structures, complexity, concurrency/parallelism.
  • Experience with large-scale systems, risk modelling or quantitative development is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with Git, Azure DevOps, code reviews, documentation and project tracking.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to work collaboratively.
  • Ability to translate complex technical topics into clear, actionable insights.
  • High ethical standards and commitment to regulatory compliance.
  • Prior experience in financial markets, risk systems or front-office technology (nice to have, not required).
  • Experience working with traders, structuring teams or analytics functions.
  • Understanding of governance, operational risk, and compliance processes.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or a related field.
