Join us and be part of those shaping the energy of tomorrowContextThe France BtC Finance division is hiring a Business Controller who will work on the perimeter covering the Group's BtC supply activities in France.The Finance and Operations (FinOps) team has the responsibility to monitor the P&L of the Energy Management and Supply team (EMS) and ensure a correct reporting (IFRS and local GAAP) of its results.The EMS Team's role is to guarantee the physical sourcing in gas, electricity and green certificates of ENGIE's supply entity France BtC.The opened position covers the full aspects of the activity for the supply businesses, namely:Sourcing of gas and electricity quantities to be supplied to BtC customersHedging of volume and price risks embedded in ENGIE's customer portfolioPurchase and reinvoice of gas and power transport capacities to the supply entitiesPurchase of certificates (Guaranty of Origin, Guaranty of Capacity, ETS2, CEE…) for the supply entitiesThe role of the Controller is twofold:A role of "Middle-Officer", focused on the daily monitoring of P&L and Cash Flows generated by the Front OfficeA role of "Business Controller", focused on the monthly financial closures, budget exercises, balance sheet control and internal control.RoleYou will be involved in theP&L monitoringof the EMS France BtC:Follow and validate on a daily basis the economic P&L with the Front-Office, report and explain the variations observedHave recurrent exchanges with Front-Office teams to ensure a sound understanding of portfolio structures, modelized assets and hedging strategiesEnsure that the reported results are compliant with accounting principlesSupport the deals' management throughout their lifecycle: discuss deal validation rules, follow invoicing issues in collaboration with the Back-OfficeMonthly closing of accounts:Control the accounting entries in SAPControl the consistency between the economic P&L and the accounting P&L: building of eco-accounting bridge and investigation of unexplained deltasPreparation ofMonthly Dashboards and Business Reviews:Support the preparation of the accurate information and business reportingAnalysis of YTD results and Best Estimates through several Key Financial Indicators (Gross Margin, Cash Flows, WCR) with the contribution of the Front-OfficeMid-Term Planification: validation and valuation of business assumptions with supply entities and Front-Office teamsDigitalization and change management: express business needs, test and provide feedback to IS teams on the softwares developed to support our processesTo fulfill your missions, you will work in close collaboration with Front-Office teams and also have regular contacts with Back-Office, Accounting, Risk teams and Finops BtB colleagues. You will notably have to:Handle accounting topics relating to products used for market finance such as hedges, options, etc.Understand the energy supply chain of gas and powerWork on a trading oriented systemTravelsThe position is located in Paris.About YouHard skillsYou have advanced excel skillsA knowledge of "business analytics" tools such as PowerBI, Dataiku and Common Data Hub would be an assetYou have already an experience with SAP.
