Senior SAP FICO Consultant – Tax Stream (Freelance)

  • Presence on customer site mandatory 4 days per week
  • Start Date: ASAP

Role Overview

The consultant will operate independently, reporting to the Finance Stream Lead, and will

be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of the Tax stream: functional design, configuration,

integration, and testing.

Main Responsibilities

 Lead the Tax process design and build for Common template & France.

 Conduct business workshops with the Finance and Tax teams to validate local requirements.

 Finalize the functional design and ensure alignment with the common template.

 Perform SAP customizing: Tax procedures, VAT codes, account determination, Withholding Tax setup, Deferred Tax, etc.

 Draft functional specifications (RICEFW) and collaborate with technical teams during development.

 Support integration and user acceptance testing (UAT) phases, including test scenario preparation and defect resolution.

 Deliver knowledge transfer sessions and maintain functional documentation.

Required Skills and Experience

 Minimum 7 years of experience in SAP FICO, including solid expertise on the Tax scope (VAT, WHT, Deferred Taxes, DAS2, FEC, Intrastat).

 Proven experience in SAP S/4HANA implementations.

 Strong understanding of French Tax localization and statutory reporting (CA3, DAS2, FEC).

 Ability to manage the full cycle from design to testing independently.

 Excellent communication and workshop facilitation skills.

 Fluent English (project documentation and international coordination).

 French nationality is mandatory due to project-specific security constraints.
