Assignment Description

Context

To increase its competitiveness and continue its development under the best conditions, the company is investing significantly in its information system, particularly in its infrastructure, which is considered key in the transformation towards the digital and agility required for its growth.

Purpose of the Service

The service will be performed within the Database Administrators team of the infrastructure department. The main activities of the database administrators are to ensure the architecture, build, and operational maintenance of the databases. They support the development and infrastructure teams in the optimization, upgrading, and resilience of the environments within their scope. Beyond the DBA role, the resource will collaborate with other "Transversal Governance & Production Excellence" teams on the build of projects and services and for the monitoring of certain services. Due to a replacement and in a cloud-first context (Azure/AWS), the DBAs need reinforcement to work on the design of both on-premises and cloud solutions. The service will therefore be carried out within the DBA team, with a priority on supporting the development teams' projects. After an adaptation period, the resource will be required to participate in on-call duty. The resource will have a key contact role with the teams based in Belgium and will need to plan regular trips to Brussels.

• Be involved in the study concerning the

• Contribute to the
  transformation of the company's IT infrastructure
  , which involves setting up solutions to take advantage of the opportunities offered by new technologies (cloud, infrastructure as code, development).
• Define the appropriate infrastructure components and architecture to implement within the framework of corporate projects. Advise and suggest innovative solutions, if applicable.

Key Candidate Requirements (Minimum)

• PostgreSQL Referent
  .
• N3 Administration
  of PostgreSQL environments (IaaS & PaaS: Azure PostgreSQL Flexible Server).
• Definition and implementation of operating standards: security, reloads, supervision, DRP (Disaster Recovery Plan).
• Automation of deployments and operations
  via Ansible, Git, scripting.
• Integration with Azure tools: Bicep, Log Analytics, Azure Monitor.
• Participation in the setup of technical dashboards (
  Grafana
  ).
• Contribution to support, documentation, and the
  DevOps DBA approach
  .
• Experience with
  Azure network
  : 4 years.
• Experience with
  AWS network
  : 2 years.
• On-call duty (Astreinte) 1 week/2 or 3.
• English level
  B2 minimum
  mandatory.
• Remote work: every Monday and Tuesday, one Friday out of two.
• Certification
  Azure DP300 Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate

Desired Profile

• Solid experience
  as a PostgreSQL DBA in a production environment.
• Mastery of
  automation tools
  (Ansible, Git, Shell or Python scripts).
• Experience with
  PostgreSQL on Azure
  (Flexible Server, PaaS, Azure Monitor supervision).
• DevOps mindset
  , rigor in automation and documentation.
• Modern technical environment (Azure cloud, infra as code, centralized supervision), strong team, and high-impact projects.

Main Activities

• Study technical solutions to improve or set up infrastructure services.
• Compare several scenarios and make recommendations.
• Write technical documentation (
  HLD and LLD design documents
  ).
• Contribute to the construction of infrastructure solutions.
• Advise, propose, and validate the infrastructure to be instantiated in business projects.
• Deploy the proposed infrastructures with the application Delivery Centres.
• Transmit the needs of the Application Delivery Centres to the experts in the relevant scopes.
