To oversee and lead the maintenance of electric low voltage systems across the Cairo Metro Line 3 infrastructure, ensuring operational efficiency, safety, and long-term asset reliability. The role involves leading the maintenance team, coordinating activities, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and driving improvements in asset management using tools like Maximo.
Responsibilities/Duties
Profil de candidat recherché :
Electric Low Voltage Maintenance & Inspections
- Conduct regular inspections of electric low-voltage assets, such as panels, lighting fixtures, posts, cables, sockets, and related infrastructure, assessing their condition and identifying maintenance requirements.
- Supervise routine maintenance tasks on electric low-voltage assets, ensuring compliance with safety standards and operational procedures.
- Ensure maintenance tools and equipment are kept in optimal condition for efficient performance.
- Review and adhere to established maintenance plans, guidelines, and manuals.
Repair & Rehabilitation
- Supervise and perform repairs on damaged electric low-voltage assets (e.g., panels, lighting fixtures, posts, cables, and sockets), utilizing appropriate tools and equipment.
- Promptly carry out emergency repairs to minimize operational disruptions.
- Oversee corrective maintenance activities, efficiently diagnosing and resolving malfunctions.
- Contribute to the rehabilitation of railway assets to enhance their lifespan and ensure ongoing safety.
- Perform installations, inspections, testing, and ongoing maintenance as needed.
Collaboration & Coordination
- Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to facilitate seamless coordination across activities.
- Work closely with other technicians and maintenance teams to plan and execute maintenance projects effectively.
- Supervise external contractors and service providers engaged in specialized maintenance tasks.
- Support the overall goals and objectives of the maintenance department.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance actions, and repairs conducted on assets.
- Maintain daily logs documenting maintenance activities and related functions.
- Assist in preparing detailed reports on asset conditions, providing recommendations for future maintenance or upgrades.
Field Surveys & Assessments
- Support field surveys and assessments to collect data for engineering studies or planning purposes.
- Assist in the execution of new projects by offering insights regarding the current infrastructure conditions.
Safety
- Ensure all maintenance tasks comply with relevant safety standards and regulations.
- Adhere to environmental and safety rules, promptly reporting any issues to Executive Maintenance for further action.
- Promote adherence to 5S and lean manufacturing standards within the maintenance department.
- Actively ensure all maintenance operations are conducted safely, prioritizing the well-being of personnel and the integrity of the infrastructure.
Maximo
- Leverage the Maximo asset management system to track and manage maintenance schedules, asset conditions, and repair records.
- Utilize Maximo to document all maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections, ensuring data accuracy and accessibility.
- Monitor and update the maintenance order process through Maximo to ensure the timely completion of tasks.
- Analyze data from Maximo to identify trends and opportunities for improvement in maintenance operations.
Qualifications
Essential Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience
- BSc in Electrical Engineering.
- Fluency in English (spoken and written) and Arabic.
- Capacity to work in shifts and across different locations within Line 3 stations and depots.
Knowledge
- Proficiency in electric low voltage maintenance and asset management.
- Familiarity with railway systems and infrastructure.
- Familiarity with change management processes.
Experience
- From 0-2 years experience in a maintenance environment, ideally in a project-based setting.
- Prior experience in site supervision and managing teams.
