Senior EPM Consultant specialising in FP&A

Henderson Drake are partnering with a high-growth global enterprise software provider to appoint a Senior EPM / FP&A Consultant to lead the delivery of complex financial planning and performance management programmes for enterprise customers.

This is a senior, client-facing role focused on owning end-to-end FP&A delivery across onboarding, implementation, and post-go-live optimisation. You will act as a trusted advisor to finance leaders, guiding them through modern, driver-based planning, forecasting, and performance management transformation.

This opportunity suits an experienced FP&A consultant who enjoys leading from the front, shaping solutions, and driving real business outcomes rather than just configuring software.

The Opportunity

You will take ownership of medium to large-scale FP&A implementations, working closely with Sales, Delivery, Project Management, and Customer Success teams to ensure each engagement delivers measurable commercial and operational value.

You will operate as the strategic partner to customers, advising on best-practice planning models, predictive analytics, rolling forecasts, and cross-functional alignment between Finance, HR, Sales, and Operations.

What You'll Be Doing

Client Delivery & Advisory

• Lead end-to-end FP&A implementation projects from onboarding through to go-live and beyond
• Act as the senior functional advisor to finance leaders across planning, forecasting, and performance management
• Design scalable, high-adoption solutions that simplify planning and drive decision-making
• Partner with Sales during handovers and project kickoff to ensure commercial and delivery alignment
• Oversee delivery governance alongside Project Managers across timelines, budget, risks, and change
• Provide quality assurance across multiple concurrent FP&A programmes

Data, Analytics & Planning Enablement

• Integrate financial and operational data for end-to-end business visibility
• Enable rolling forecasts, scenario modelling, and predictive analytics
• Support KPI design, performance tracking, and value realisation
• Align Finance with HR, Sales, and Operations for joined-up planning

Post Go-Live & Expansion

• Partner with Customer Success to ensure smooth transition and adoption
• Conduct solution health checks and optimisation reviews
• Support business case realisation and identify expansion opportunities

Leadership & Thought Contribution

• Mentor and coach consultants across FP&A delivery and best practice
• Contribute to delivery methodology, product feedback, and internal frameworks
• Represent the organisation at industry events and customer forums
• Maintain close engagement with internal stakeholders across sales, delivery, and product

What They're Looking For

• Proven experience delivering medium to large-scale FP&A implementations
• Background in FP&A consulting or enterprise performance management software
• Deep understanding of budgeting, forecasting, modelling, and performance management
• Experience working within formal delivery frameworks (Agile, Prince2, or similar)
• Strong commercial awareness and customer-first problem-solving approach
• Confident senior stakeholder engagement across Finance leadership
• Comfortable operating autonomously in fast-moving transformation environments
