About ColibriTD

ColibriTD is a French deeptech startup founded in 2019, specializing in physical simulation using quantum computing.

We develop QUICK, a hybrid quantum–classical platform designed to solve large-scale partial differential equations (PDEs), used in fields such as aerospace, defense, energy, finance, and semiconductors.

Our mission: prepare industrial players for the quantum computing revolution by making these technologies accessible, interoperable, and useful today.

We collaborate with major partners including IBM Quantum, ONERA, and Eviden/Atos.

Internship Context

As part of our growing activities and the development of new quantum simulation use cases, we are looking for an intern with both technical and business skills.

The goal of the internship is to contribute to the definition, formalization, and analysis of industrial use cases addressable with our technologies—particularly through the formulation of the associated partial differential equations (PDEs).

The intern will work at the intersection of scientific R&D, product strategy, and industrial applications.

Main Responsibilities

  • Identify and structure new industrial use cases linked to the simulation of physical phenomena (e.g., CFD, thermal analysis, mechanics, electromagnetics, quantitative finance, semiconductors, etc.).
  • Collaborate with the scientific team to formulate the relevant partial differential equations (PDEs) or associated physical systems.
  • Contribute to technology and competitive monitoring on quantum simulation and emerging industrial needs.
  • Provide market and strategic insights to assess the relevance and potential of each use case (business impact, technical feasibility, partner interest).

Required Profile

  • Engineering student (CentraleSupélec, École Polytechnique, Mines Paris, Télécom Paris, ENSIMAG, etc.), ideally pursuing a dual engineering/business degree (HEC, ESSEC, ESCP, EM Lyon…) or with a strong interest in business topics.
  • Knowledge of differential equations.
  • Interest in quantum computing and the industrial valorization of deeptech innovations.
  • Analytical mindset, scientific curiosity, and enthusiasm for interdisciplinary topics.
  • Strong synthesis, communication, and writing skills (in French and English).
  • English required (minimum B2).
