AI Scientist – Hair

is looking for an AI Scientist to join our Beauty AI team, focusing on hair analysis from clinical images, macro images, and dermoscopic data and other aesthetics AI. You will work closely with dermatologists, hair specialists, and medical experts to build next-generation AI products for hair health and aesthetics.

This role is ideal for someone who is product-driven, ambitious, curious, and not afraid to step outside pure engineering to learn medical knowledge.

Location: Toulouse, France

Compensation:

• Base salary: €39,000 - €45,000 gross/year (depending on experience) + performance bonus up to 19% annual salary.
• Equity: stock/options package (based on level and performance)
• Sign-on bonus: available for strong candidates (case-by-case)

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and improve AI models for hair analysis other aesthetics AI using computer vision and deep learning
• Work hands-on with image-based ML tasks (classification, detection, segmentation)
• Collaborate closely with doctors and domain experts to translate medical expertise into AI systems
• Analyze datasets: data exploration, cleaning, labelling strategy, and validation
• Prototype quickly and iterate based on feedback from medical and product stakeholders
• Contribute to production-ready AI pipelines, not just research experiments
• Participate in technical discussions, model reviews, and roadmap planning
• Continuously research and apply new AI methods relevant to hair and beauty AI
• Write clear documentation for models, experiments, and results

Requirements / Qualifications

• 1+ year of professional experience as an AI Scientist / ML Engineer
• Strong foundation in machine learning and deep learning
• Hands-on experience with Python and ML/DL libraries (e.g. PyTorch/TensorFlow, OpenCV, NumPy, pandas)
• Experience with computer vision on images
• Ability to work with imperfect, real-world data
• Comfortable collaborating with non-technical stakeholders (doctors, experts, product teams)
• Professional English required (French is a plus)
• Nice to Have
• Prior experience working on hair-related AI or dermatology / medical imaging
• Experience with clinical or dermoscopic images
• Familiarity with segmentation tasks or medical validation workflows
