As a lead member, you will work closely with KPMG Partners on tax planning initiatives and requirements. Your organizational skills will enable you to direct the work of junior staff, including reviewing their work for accuracy and completeness. Additionally, you will research and prepare tax-planning strategies for our clients and take the lead on the preparation of tax returns. The ideal candidate takes initiative and leads by example, providing ongoing support and opportunities for professional development.
What you will doLead client engagementsWork closely with a Partner as a senior team member on tax planning work for clientsPlan and organize teams for the preparation of tax returns and conduct and present tax researchReview the work of junior staff for accuracy and completenessBecome part of the tax engagement team in servicing the planning and compliance needs of clientsProvide ongoing support and mentoring for the professional development of staffWork with other office members in attracting new work to the firmWhat you bring to the role
Minimum 5 years specializing in tax in a public accounting firmProfessional accounting designation or equivalentEnrolled in or completed the CPA In-Depth Tax CourseExcellent people management skillsHighly motivated individual with a desire for growthExcellent client service skills with the ability to understand the client's businessDedication and motivation to achieve high standards of client service and professionalism in the performance of dutiesEmphasis on quality and adding value in client offerings and services
KPMG BC Region Pay Range Information
The expected base salary range for this position is $102,500 to $200,000 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicant's base salary within this range is based on the individual's location, skills, & competencies, and unique qualifications. In addition, KPMG offers a comprehensive and competitive Total Rewards program.
