Role Description

The role covers both Information Technology (IT) and Information Systems (IS). The IT Manager will be responsible for setting the IT strategy and designing, implementing, and managing Taranis' IT infrastructure, while ensuring full alignment with the group-wide IT framework and standards.

Taranis operates in France, the UK, and several African countries, with a shared IT structure across all entities. Further developments are also expected in Latin America. The IT/IS environment will need to be deployed, adapted, and continuously monitored in each location.

In addition to managing core IT infrastructure, the IT manager will cover the IS: working closely with the three business units to understand their operational needs, selecting or developing the right tools, and tailoring software solutions to support their activities efficiently.

The key responsibilities will be as follow:

IT Strategy and planning

• Develop and implement a multi-year IT roadmap, mainly cloud oriented, aligned with the multi-location company strategy, the business objectives and corporate guidelines.
• Define the overall technology architecture, standards, and governance processes.
• Build a scalable IT environment suitable for a rapidly expanding, multi-country organization.
• Build, structure and mentor a diverse IT team across locations, fostering knowledge sharing and upskilling
• Oversee multi-site environments across London, Paris, Africa etc.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Represent the new entity within the group's IT governance structure.

IT Infrastructure, Systems & Operations

• Set up and manage all core IT infrastructure, including networks, devices, cloud services, collaboration tools, and cybersecurity systems, including IoT for the powerplants
• Align with parent company IT standards on sites running shared IT resources built and managed by the parent company
• Oversee incident management, service desk support.
• Ensure high availability and performance for remote teams across time zones.
• Manage relationships with vendors, hardware suppliers, and managed service providers

Security & compliance

• Implement and maintain robust cybersecurity policies, tools, and protocols including regular internal audits or controls
• Ensure compliance with UK, EU, and relevant African data protection and privacy regulations.
• Work closely with IT teams from the parent company to ensure system integration, security alignment, and shared standards.

Software and solutions

• Identify business needs and optimise existing group tools accordingly.
• Configure and tailor software solutions for the entity's specific requirements.
• Lead integration of new tools and digital workflows when needed.
• Recommend improvements to enhance performance, security, and user experience.
• Provide high-quality technical support to all users.
• Train teams on IT best practices, cybersecurity, and tools.

Desired Profile

• Strong expertise in Microsoft 365, cloud computing (Azure), network architecture, cybersecurity framework, firewalls, VPN, and virtualisation.
• Proven ability to design and deploy and manage a full IT landscape from the ground up.
• Solid experience in cybersecurity with a good knowledge of key point related fo ISO 27001, GDPR.
• Experience managing IT transformation and implementation projects.
• Knowledge of multi-country, multi-site IT environments.
• Hands-on mindset with a pragmatic, solution-oriented approach.
• Strong communication skills, including with non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to understand business needs and specificities and translate them into concrete IT solutions.
• Experience managing IT for subsidiaries in emerging markets (Africa/Europe) is a strong plus
• Great sense of autonomy with Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to navigate regulatory differences across borders.
• Proficiency in French is required.
• Master's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or equivalent.
• Certifications such as Azure, Cisco, ITIL, CISSP, CISM, PMP are a plus.
