ABOUT YOUR ROLE

Descartes Underwriting is seeking an
FP&A Analyst (Financial Planning & Analysis)
to join our Finance Team. You will report to the FP&A & Project Manager and you will be a key contributor of the deployment of strategic projects. The applicant will be in close and effective cooperation with all business units and play a vital role in the following activities:

Financial Planning:

• Participate in the company's financial management;
• Lead the production of monthly financial reports to the management board and Investors;
• Maintain an operational forecasting model that allows Descartes to monitor performance, variance analysis, forecasts and draw up budgets;
• Support on financial modelling for strategic projects.

Financial Analysis:

• You will be positioned as a true finance builder to support Descartes' growth;
• Lead on the portfolio monitoring to support our top line growth, in direct connection with our international sales team;
• Support the FP&A Manager on ad-hoc strategic modelling analysis (e.g. revenue, headcount follow-up);
• Support for international expansion & future financing rounds.

Change Management:

• You will set our financial organization for scale and success;
• Support the full implementation of our FP&A tool (Abacum) and develop new dashboards for the key stakeholders;
• Constantly improve the data quality from all our data sources, working with operational teams;
• Participate in the implementation of the financial framework for future activities in a regulated environment, including our insurance activity;
• Be proactive in the optimization of processes in an international and scaling company.

ABOUT YOU

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

• Graduated from a Tier 1 engineering or business school or equivalent with a specialization in Finance & Accounting;
• At least 2 years' experience (internships or/and apprentice) in the related fields: audit, transaction & services, finance or/and data analysis;
• Previous experience in the assurance industry is a plus.

SKILLS

• Eye for quality, autonomous and attention to detail;
• Excellent communication (written and verbal);
• Professional English.
