What will you be doing?
The Designer/Draftsperson is responsible for producing drawings and sketches consistent with good engineering practice and in compliance with company drawing office procedures.

Specific Key Responsibilities Are

  • Provide design drafting skills of a high quality and efficient output for all project work undertaken
  • Provide CAD skills and knowledge both 2D and where appropriate 3D
  • Interface with Drawing Office Supervisor / Lead Designer / Principal Designer to ensure CAD deliverable schedule is being met
  • Ensure compliance with company QA and HSE procedures
  • Operate within standardized engineering policies, processes and systems
  • Familiarity with relevant codes and standards used in the drafting work carried out
  • Liaise directly when instructed with Project Engineers on installation drawings and sketches
  • Help ensure smooth operation of CAD station, plotters and copying facilities
  • Communicate with other Designers to ensure knowledge sharing, best practice and competence
  • Help ensure engineering compliance, so that Subsea 7 can deliver quality engineering solutions and avoid errors
  • Record lessons learned and Opportunities for Improvement (OFIs) to assist in improved company systems and services

What experience would we like you to have?

  • Ability to function within a design team and across multiple projects
  • Ability to prioritise own workload, manage time accordingly and inform team members where constraints will affect a project in terms of program or budget
  • Demonstrable ability to work within time/budget constraints
  • Commitment to Continuing Professional Development
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and Inventor
  • Good level of French and English
