About the Role

As Engineering Manager, your mission is to lead, grow, and inspire a high-performing engineering team to build scalable, reliable, and secure products that gives power back to investors.

You'll be responsible for hiring and developing top-tier engineers, driving execution on complex projects, and fostering a culture of technical excellence. Working closely with the VP of Engineering, Product, Design, and other stakeholders, you'll shape the roadmap and ensure our engineering organization delivers with speed, quality, and impact.

This is a key leadership role where you'll balance strategy and execution, guiding architectural decisions while building the processes and culture that will scale Finary's engineering team into the future.

Your main scope is :

• Squad Delivery Ownership: to ensure delivery aligns with business goals, product priorities, and technical standards.

• People & Performance Management: guaranteeing ****each employee ****receives mentorship, clarity, and feedback and the team can grow through clear expectations and autonomy.

• Technical Excellence & Observability : domain's systems are healthy, monitored, and resilient. You uphold and evolve engineering best practices. You drive the AI adoption at the engineering level

• Cross-Functional Leadership: You collaborate seamlessly with Product, Design, and other squads. You represent engineering in cross-team discussions and decisions.

• Culture & Hiring : you attract, hire, and onboard top engineering talent. You are a visible ambassador of Finary's engineering culture.

• Have proven leadership experience managing engineering teams in a fast-paced environment.

• Love hiring, coaching, and mentoring engineers, fostering both individual and team growth.

• Are a bar-raiser, always looking to elevate quality and push for excellence.

• Have a strong technical background, with experience in cloud environments, capable of making and guiding architectural decisions.

• Can balance business needs with engineering quality, making pragmatic trade-offs when needed.

• Communicate effectively and collaborate seamlessly across teams and stakeholders.

• Thrive in environments with shifting priorities, where adaptability is key.

Bonus Points If You

• Have experience scaling engineering teams from early-stage to growth.

• Bring exposure to fintech, banking, or other regulated environments.

• Have built AI-powered features or infrastructure.

• Are passionate about personal finance and investing, with firsthand experience as an investor.

• Have worked in high-growth product-led companies
