Job Description

Applied R&D (AR) consists of target-oriented research either with the goal of solving a particular problem / answering a specific question or for multi-discipline design, development, and implementation of hardware, software, and systems including maintenance support. Supplies techno-economic consulting to clients. AR work is characterized by its detailed and complex nature in order to systematically combine existing knowledge and practices to further developing and incrementally improving products, operational processes, and customer-specific feature development.

Integration, Verification & Testing (IVT) comprises the integration of SW and / or HW or system components into system, platform, product releases, or networks and verifies the integrated entity or network against particular requirements and specifications. Covers setup and maintenance of laboratory and associated equipment, tools, and devices.

How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn
As a SW Integration Engineer, you will join the local NPS team and be engaged in Feature team testing, SW Test Strategy and support the SW evolution of the Wavence Microwave Product portfolio of Nokia.

Your responsibilities include overall test scope, implementing, automating and executing of test cases.

You will be part of a multi-disciplinary Agile team of experts and is expected to play a vital role in guaranteeing quality in Smoke Test, Test Automation, Functional and Feature testing, to promote Left shifting and to bring our product evolution to the market faster.

You will be supported by state-of-the-art development and test technologies, tools and processes.

• Defining intelligent tests for complex systems, detecting non-quality upfront in the development process.
• Developing automated test scripts that ensure sustained, top level quality of subsequent software releases.
• Being responsible for the quality of the test scripts delivered
• Executing manual tests, using debugging and diagnostic tools to analyze and reproduce bugs & issues.
• Testing of Web GUI management system.
• Interacting with project managers to give them regular updates of identified issues.
• Troubleshooting CI smoke and regressions issues
• Defect management with a tracking tool system (JIRA or so)
• Participating in test strategy

Key Skills And Experience

• Usage of a versioning management tool (GIT)
• Troubleshooting issues (taking traces, interacting with key SW developers, etc.) in a complex embedded system.
• Knowledge of python
• Knowledge of Robot is a nice to have
