What could you be doing as a CPU OS Verification Software/Hardware Engineer?
- Improve your software skills, while deepening your understanding of the internals of CPUs in an extraordinarily accomplished and diverse team.
- Bring ARM CPUs to life by booting operating systems and running real software.
- Work on early software bring-up to validate new hardware and uncover bugs.
- Exploit the capabilities of industry-leading hardware accelerator farms.
- Develop unique tools to help verify Arm CPUs and collaborate globally with hardware, software and architecture teams to maximise their impact.
We are looking for individuals who:
- Hold a degree (or soon will) in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or a related field
- Have experience programming in C, with some exposure to low-level or assembly programming
- Possess foundational understanding of CPU architecture concepts (such as caches, MMUs, or multicore systems)
- Know about operating system kernels and how they exploit the hardware.
- Are curious, collaborative, and eager to learn, ask questions and work as part of a team.
Qualities that will help your application stand out:
- Understanding and use of the Arm instruction set architecture
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python
- Exposure to CPU verification or EDA tools
