Practice Area
BCG Platinion launched in Germany in 2000 to add deep technical expertise to the Boston Consulting Group's existing capabilities. Today, our presence spans across the globe, with offices in Asia, Europe, and South and North America. Our New York-based North American team began in 2014 and in 2017 acquired MAYA Design, a Pittsburgh-based digital design and innovation lab, to grow our capabilities around technology and design.

We support our clients' total digital transformation through technology, design, cybersecurity, and risk management & financial engineering capabilities. And together with BCG, BCG Platinion's interdisciplinary team of technical experts enable customized technical solutions and accelerate delivery value through new business platforms, application consolidations, and major system implementations.

What You'll Do

At BCG Platinion, you will accelerate your development through hands-on impact, continuous learning, and mentorship. You will:

• Develop deep expertise and technical excellence by solving complex challenges for global organizations, shaping critical technology strategies, and driving digital transformations that create measurable business value.
• Engage directly with CxO stakeholders, influencing high-impact decisions and translating technical insights into strategic outcomes at the highest levels of client organizations.
• Strengthen your leadership and consulting skills through collaboration with senior BCG leaders, cross-functional experts, and diverse international teams.

As a (Senior) Manager in AI Architect and Software Engineering, you will lead multidisciplinary teams to design and deliver high-impact, AI-driven transformation programs for our clients. Partnering with senior client stakeholders, you will shape strategic AI roadmaps, define technology and data strategies, and translate business ambitions into executable initiatives that deliver measurable results.

You will oversee multiple workstreams—from AI use case design and prioritization to large-scale implementation—ensuring delivery excellence, consistency, and alignment with client objectives. You will coach and empower BCG and client teams, fostering collaboration between business and technology functions to accelerate AI adoption and drive innovation.

Your projects will span a wide range of industries and use cases: from core system modernization in financial services to cutting-edge AI applications in engineering, operations, and customer experience. You will ensure these initiatives create real business value, combining GenAI, software craftsmanship, and modern delivery approaches.

You will play a key role in advancing BCG Platinion's digital and technology agenda by:

• Leading the development of new GenAI and software engineering offerings that address emerging client needs.
• Driving business development through client relationship management, proposal leadership, and thought leadership initiatives.

Contributing to the growth of the Platinion practice through recruitment, training, mentoring, and knowledge sharing.

You will also have access to continuous learning and leadership development programs, helping you grow as a trusted advisor and technology leader—combining deep technical fluency with strategic insight and business impact.

What You'll Bring

• 7–15 years of experience in technology consulting, software engineering leadership, or AI-driven transformation — ideally within a top-tier consultancy, a tech company, or a leading digital organization.
• Proven leadership in designing, managing, and delivering complex AI and software transformation programs that generate measurable business outcomes.
• Deep expertise across several areas such as GenAI and AI use case delivery, software modernization, data and analytics, digital platforms, and engineering excellence — with a strong ability to bridge strategy and execution.
• Strategic and analytical mindset, capable of framing complex business and technical challenges into actionable transformation roadmaps and value-driven initiatives.
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills with senior and C-level stakeholders; comfortable leading strategic discussions, workshops, and steering committees.
• Strong ability to connect technology decisions to business value, ensuring that AI and engineering initiatives directly contribute to client performance and innovation.
• Entrepreneurial and growth-oriented mindset — proactive ownership, initiative, and active contribution to go-to-market activities, client relationship development, and practice growth.
• High ethical standards and professional integrity: trust, confidentiality, and respect in all client and team interactions.
• Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or other STEM fields, or in Business with a strong understanding of technology.
