"CONSTRUCTION ENGINEERING SPECIALIST (M/F)"
for a
12-month renewable contract*
.
The role is
based in the Paris region (France)
, residential position (
no rotation scheme
). The expected
start date is January 2026
.
*"CONSTRUCTION ENGINEERING SPECIALIST (M/F)" — What will your missions and responsibilities be?
Key Responsibilities*
- Supervise and provide guidance to contractors and engineering teams for all construction-related activities during the basic and detailed engineering phases of FPSO debottlenecking and life-extension projects.
- Review and validate all construction documentation, including layouts, structural drawings, constructability reports, and installation procedures.
- Ensure alignment between design deliverables, project specifications, and applicable international codes and standards (AISC, API, ASTM, BS, etc.).
- Coordinate and manage technical interfaces between engineering disciplines and project packages.
- Participate in design reviews, risk assessments (HAZID/HAZOP), and technical meetings to resolve issues and optimize design solutions.
- Evaluate and respond to technical queries related to construction activities.
- Review and assess contractor change requests, planning deviations, and potential cost impacts.
- Monitor engineering progress, ensuring schedule, quality, and HSE objectives are achieved.
- Ensure lessons learned from previous projects are captured and implemented.
- Support the Engineering Leader in preparing project execution plans, procedures, and reports.
- Promote digitalization, innovation, and lean project management methodologies to optimize efficiency.
- Guarantee compliance with HSE standards and promote a proactive safety culture throughout all activities.
*Tools and Systems*
- Microsoft Office 365 environment and SharePoint.
- Project documentation and interface management tools (EDMS).
- Engineering design and planning software for multidisciplinary coordination.
- Standardized company procedures, specifications, and codes.
*What profile and skills are required for this "CONSTRUCTION ENGINEERING SPECIALIST (M/F)" role?
Technical Requirements*
- Education: Degree in Mechanical, Structural, or Marine Engineering (or equivalent).
- Experience: Minimum 15 years in construction and installation within the oil & gas industry, including brownfield and FPSO topsides projects.
- Strong expertise in FPSO topside modification, life-extension, and debottlenecking projects.
- Proven ability to manage interfaces between engineering disciplines and project packages.
- Excellent understanding of international standards and fabrication codes.
- Proficiency in construction and installation methodologies, interface management, and planning.
- Strong communication, reporting, and coordination skills.
- Fluent in English (mandatory); Portuguese or French is an advantage.

- Location: Paris region, France.
- Contract Duration: 12 months, renewable.
- Start Date: January 2026.
- Status: Residential (no rotation).
